Let's pay tribute to Mihály Babits, on the 80th anniversary of his death. We can thank the poet and literary translator's diligence that we're able to read - among others - Shakespeare, Dante and Sophocles's works in Hungarian. (His hous is on our poster.)

210 years ago, composer and conductor Franz Liszt was born. The Hugarian piano prodigy had masters like Carl Czerny and Antonio Salieri (the latter being Mozart's great rival and alleged murderer). Liszt visited Italy several times (he visited Baveno, Lucca, Venice, Trieste, Rome, Spoleto, Assisi, Loreto, Tivoli, Siena and Firenze).
